Been thinking more and more like I should probably look at maybe just using trae-agent. The damn thing worked well. That’s how I started and then I go back to using the IDE because it’s easy and I can interrupt but like I started using open source coding agents for real with trae-agent, fire and forget.

Now I feel like I’ve built my own trae-agent and I’m trying to figure out a way to set it up to run one trae-agent job after another and coordinate them so I guess yeah dunno.

I guess I’m trying to like replicate letta now huh? Not sure what happened there. Oh yeah memory is way harder than file system and unix tools actually, that’s what happened.

The good news is I have letta hooked up to langfuse so we’re going to start working with letta now hell I might even start using fucking letta code.

You can also run Letta Code in headless mode, which allows you to compose your agents as UNIX programs.

I feel like I got WAY too much into reproducing like OpenCode and working with Zed’s native agent and showing that I can do all of this in rust and I’ve falled back from what I need to be doing, which is what I was doing when I started. Let it run. Come back, see what it did and redo. Big huge leaps.

That’s what trae-agent style, don’t ask the user fucking questions style prompts do. And yeah I see that they absolutely changed and trimmed down the zed native agent prompts that might have something to do with why they feel like the stop and ask way more questions now, which is how I’ve been using the endpoint.

So I need to just sit down with the agent and I can use crow-agent, I can try letta-code, I can use trae-agent, but the real value add is working with claude to figure out a way to orchestrate these calls to where it’s one big long ass fucking job that takes a very long time potentially, like probably even if it was like API calls to the supercomputer cluster it’d still take a long ass time but with local LLM it’s going to be a lot longer like WAY longer.

I almost asked “Do you see what I mean?” because I’m used to typing out fucking tomes to the LLM now in conversation. It really keeps the typing flowing. Like I don’t know this feels like I should be writing all the time and yeah I should probably get into dictation and like grammerly like correction of common dictation errors or whatever so I can just yack and shit with my digital assistant and boom it’s a book.
